New 12,000 sf art and media center building and complete interior renovation of the historical Morehead Elementary school in downtown Durham.  The project scope includes extensive ramps and site renovations to bring the building in compliance with ADA code.  All existing steel framed, single pane windows are replaced with new storefront windows with thermally broken glass.  A complete new electrical service was installed over the spring break limiting school disruptions.  The final phase of asbestos abatement will be completed in the Summer, 2009.  The project also worked with Durham Public Schools Performance contractor to retrofit the existing mechanical systems and roof to provide renovations that will recuperate installation costs by providing a more energy efficient building.
